About Shane Michael

Photographer.
Artist. Educator.

I'm Shane Michael. I've spent years behind the camera photographing people, telling stories, and helping others grow their own photography skills. Whether I'm working with a couple on their wedding day, a family at one of my favorite local spots, or a creative concept in the studio, my goal is always the same: create photographs that feel real, look incredible, and stand the test of time.

My story

It started with a camera and a curious mind.

Photography started as a creative outlet and quickly turned into a career and a way of life. Over the years I've had the opportunity to work with incredible clients, travel to amazing locations, and continue learning from the people and experiences that surround me. I'm constantly looking for new ways to push my own work, stay inspired, and help others do the same.

My approach

People. Light.
Story.

I'm particular about lighting, composition, and the details that make a photograph work. I'll give direction when it helps, create space when it matters, and focus on what makes each session unique. My approach is a mix of technical knowledge, creative vision, and a real understanding of people.

Technical knowledge

I understand light, location, and equipment so I can create consistent, high quality images in any environment.

Real connections

I take the time to get to know my clients, help them feel comfortable, and create a relaxed experience.

Creative vision

From classic portraits to bold creative concepts, I'm always looking for new ways to create something different.

Education

Sharing what
I've learned.

Teaching has always been a big part of my journey. Through workshops, creator content, and hands-on experiences, I help other photographers understand lighting, posing, editing, and the business side of photography. I believe in giving back to the community that's supported me.

Outside the studio

Family keeps
it real.

When I'm not behind the camera, I'm at home with my family, working on the next project, or finding a new place to explore. They keep me grounded, inspired, and remind me why I love what I do.
